Abu Dzar Al Ghifari(Figure of Simple Living)
He came to Mecca waggly tired but happy shining eyes ... .. Indeed, the difficulty from has been traveling and summer (always summer in dessert) sting body with pain, sand and tired, but a goal that would have been reach alleviate the suffer and breathe the spirit and sense of joy in life. He entered the city with undercover as though he wanted to do a thawaf around the idols of the Ka'bah, or as if a traveler lost in transit, or more precisely people who have come very from far distance, which requires rest and adding supplies. But if people know his arrival to Mecca is going to meet Muhammad s.a.w. and hear the lecture, they will surely kill him! But it will not matter for him haphazardly killed after crossing the sand area; as long as he can see the man he looking for and express faith in him. Truth and da'wah given Muhammad s.a.w. can satisfy his heart.
He keep his step while installing his ear, and each person he heard discussing about Muhammad s.a.w., he came to close nearly and scrutinize with caution until, from the story that spread here and there, he obtained sign that made way he can see Muhammad s.a.w..
A day in the morning he went to that place, he found Muhammad s.a.w. was sitting alone. He come closer to Prophet.
Then he said: "Good morning oh fellow countryman!"
"Peace be unto you, friend," he said.
Abu Dzar said: "Recite to me your composition!"
"It is not sya’ir (poetry) so I could not compose, but it is a glorious Quran", he said.
Then it read by Prophet.
Abu Dzar listened with full attention, until one time he did cry: "Asyhadu alla ilaha illallah wa asyhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh". "Where you from, brother?", A Prophet. "From Ghitar'', he said. So wide smile appear on the lips the Prophet, while face covered ta'jub (wonder) and admirable. Abu Dzar smile too, because he knew a sense hidden behind the Prophet feel amazed to hear that people in front of him, who claim to have Islam openly mind, is a man from Ghifar.
